ArtWanted.com Artwork Widget

The ArtWanted.com “Artwork Widget” has been around for a while, but we have recently made some updates and bug fixes to it, so we thought it would be a good time to remind everyone about it.

What is the Artwork Widget?

The Artwork Widget is an interactive scrolling slide-show of artwork from our members. The Widget is designed to be placed on other websites or posted on blogs/bios/forums to promote your artwork. As visitors see your artwork on these other sites, they can click the image thumbnails to be taken to the larger versions in your ArtWanted.com portfolio.

Are there different widgets?

Yes, we currently offer two different widgets. The first widget is smaller and shows one image at a time. The second widget is larger and shows three images from your portfolio at a time.

How do I see my widget? Each member of ArtWanted.com has their own personal widget of their portfolio images. To view your widget, scroll down to the “Marketing Your Portfolio” section from the main Members Area of the ArtWanted.com control panel. There you will find a link that goes to your personal Artwork Widget.

How do I use my widget?

The widget is designed to put on other websites to bring people back to your ArtWanted.com portfolio. You simply copy the HTML code from your widget page and then paste it into another website/blog/forum that allows HTML code. Website visitors will see your artwork in the widget and then click the links to view the larger versions in your portfolio.

How do I know if the widget is being used?

We track each time the widget is loaded and when people click on the artwork links. All of these stats are available to you to view from your Members Area Statistics reports.

Summary

We hope you can use the ArtWanted.com Artwork Widget to bring more exposure to your artwork and more visitors to your online portfolio. Please let us know if you have any questions about this feature by responding to this post. Enjoy!

Below you will see a few examples of the widget from some of our members...
