Hi Everyone!!!

Hi Everyone! I'm not sure if anyone remembers me, I've been away for awhile. I loved Artwanted so much that I decided to come back. Maybe I can help spark life back into this once great site. I know ArtWanted can return, it was such a great site and I loved the artists and the artwork. I met a great bunch of people over the years who I miss so much, I hope they are still around. Anyway, I'll be posting more art and will be more active in the forums. I hope to see all of my friends again and looking forward to making some new friends.

I remember you. Artwanted seems dead, I don't think anyone really runs the site now.

Anyway, there seems to be enough of us old coots around to at least keep the message boards alive. We just need a troublemaker or something to keep it interesting, but not too interesting lol.

And there is still some good artwork uploaded daily.

Hi, I think that AW has one of the best and the most effective software frames among similar sites. Besides you say that formerly it had active members. I also noticed that even now some good and active artists use to drop into AW from time to time. That's why I am absolutely sure that AW has almost everything for becoming a great site again. And that's why i am so sorry that all that is not used for good now and about the whole situation here. I suspect that the only thing, which AW lucks is an effective owner or an active hired manager. May be the owner failed to earn money here, couldn't hire proper people and lost interest... though I know for sure that some people earn good money and sometimes become milionaries using similar sites. I still hope that I am wrong here and everything will become better without much efforts or chanching the owner soon. How do you think?

Until whoever owns AW bring back human operators this site is beyond dead with the "Bots" running it. I believe the owner(s) are just sitting back a taking the money, while ignoring the clients

I "AGREE" with RQ........

I also agree, excepting one aspect - I doubt that AW, while neglected like that, can give any money to the owner. It is the main irony of the situation - potentially profitable AW becomes useless while operated by bots and neglected by owners.

I wish there was some way we could show whoever is "collecting" the money how much those of us who have remember what AW was like before truly still care about this site. I believe that ArtWanted can be revived back to what it once was. Too bad, we don't have more control. But, I'm going to stay faithful to this site. I loved ArtWanted in the past and I still love it. I also agree that there is still some pretty amazing artwork still being posted. I say lets hang in there as long as we can and fight to try to keep this site alive.

OK Seems we have little or no choice here, but to follow your advise. And still it could be interesting to have personal talks with owners and to ask them about our perspectives on AW...

Welcome back, Rick. I agree that the site is lacking. Perhaps some members sell on the site, but my bet is that not very many do. I also agree that the people who post their art are really talented artists and great to communicate with, if it is even in a limited way. Not so great site managers, but great people who post. Let's all hang in there, if not for the site, for each other. Best regards, Will

Johnny Driggers 11 Oct 2015

Hello Martha!! Nice to see you!

I almost gave up on this site myself, I went a few months without checking it but I can't stay away.

On a side note- it looks like someone from the Artwanted staff actually posted a message. wow.

Martha Miller 11 Oct 2015

Really Johnny ? where did you see that? Me too Rick. I have always liked AW I would come on here and talk to myself.lol

Yury Yanin 12 Oct 2015

Hi Martha, glad that you noticed my affords. I also know that you are one of a few, who are still active here. About the message from AW stuff - I've noticed that someone decided to refresh so called "Haunted gallery", and showed that on AW home page. Is it what you mean writing about the message from AW stuff?

Good to see you Martha...hope you're doing better. And yes it does look like someone from AW posted something...the new Halloween Contest post. Still basically the same here, but I've noticed a lot less posting in the galleries lately ....oh well....I still think this site is dying a very slow death.

Johnny Driggers 12 Oct 2015

The daily featured image is back as well.

I remember, I think it was last year about this time, they posted a few featured images and someone came by and deleted all the messages by people who were mad about not getting paid, then they left again. Hopefully they stay longer this time.

Yury Yanin 13 Oct 2015

I added 3 items to the "Haunted gallery' (one shown bellow and two others). Not sure that they fit there - they are not particularly Halloween pictures (Halloween isn't popular in Russia), but I wanted to participate and to help if I can. Let us support them in their affords to reanimate this site with whatever we can do for it!

Hi Guys .........I'm working on two portraits. I hope to finish them soon. I have been away from my drawing so long I have forgotten some skills. but I'm working on it. My portraits are ..My mom and oldest sister............Both deceased. I'm, glad to see all you guys..............Big hugssssssss.

Hi Martha, I understand your feelings. I am mostly a digital artist now, not a painter, but I love to use my digital tools for creation of portraits, based on old photos. May be I need less skills, then you do, and partly replace them by some software; nevertheless I also need understanding of the object, my memories, feelings, emotions and also some artistic test. And once more about the Haunting Gallery: Yesterday I submitted one more image into that gallery (bellow). In that moment it had 2 visits only in this month. Today I was surprised to find out that now it already received 71 visits total. The other 3 images, which I had submitted earlier, received 7, 7 and 0 visits in the last 2 days. Thus i can say in general that the Haunted Gallery can help to increase exposure at least for some art pieces. I am rather sceptical about numbers of visits and similar figures... and still I think that it can be a good first step for AW reactivation - to attract more public attention to our art.

Yury Yanin 15 Oct 2015

85 visits currently to the shown image and the number is growing rapidly!!! The secret is simple - that image had been placed into the main part of the Haunted Gallery, which is shown on the AW home page. Thus almost every AW visitor begins with looking at that part of the collection. 3 other of my images were placed to other parts of the Haunted Gallery, the number of visits to them is also growing, but much slower - 10, 8 and still 0 visits currently. All that shows that AW is still rather popular among art lovers and collectors. It also shows that someone started to work with that AW gallery. He (she) chooses pictures to different parts of that gallery and makes all the other job with it. I'd love to think that it gives some hope.
