Looking for serious help getting into gallerys

hello all im self taught artist had some really awsome feedback over the last 4 years selling on ebay etc, my problem im having is im naive and frightened about contacting gallerys exsplaining why they should use my work, the truth is i suffer from serious depression and such things seem like climbing a mountain, so my question is are there people out there to represent your art, if so who and where are these people

You do not need a middleman- since you are comfortable with ebay and this site- emailing the directors of galleries in your area photos of your work just so they may first look your art over is the simplest solution. Let them know that you are interested in the possibility of displaying your paintings and what they would advise. After you get your foot in the door through exposure in one gallery other opportunities will follow. Often seasonal gallery shows are based on a theme- and perhaps a few of your works may fit into one of the seasonal shows.
