I haven't been on this website much this year, since the new format and changes. Life has been keeping me a little too busy for art. Today I'm browsing through the artwork, searching my favorite subjects or just the daily uploads and many times I'd like to know what the media is that was used to create an image and you don't list that anymore? You've got Artist, Uploaded date; Gallery; and it should list the media. I uploaded an image today on my portfolio and in the form you fill out when you upload there is a Media drop down box... where does that information go? I happen to have my sub sections listed by media so a path shows at the top of my images but most of the ones out there do not have sub sections. I think this is a terrible oversight. I would never buy a piece of art not knowing the media used to create it. I wouldn't expect anyone coming on here to buy art to do so either.

I agree with you, Laura, it is important to know the medium. I also would love to have it back in the description, as well as enabling bio picture enlargement that used to be there.
Members have been asking about this several times since May 2009, but in August ArtWanted staff still had 'higher priority issues'. Let's hope some time ever in the future it will maybe move to the top of the priority list. Never lose hope....

We plan to have the "media" back on the image page before the end of this month.
