It's no secret that we have hard time keeping our art contests consistent on our site. Voting delays and new contest delays seem to happen more often then not. We have also had requests to increase the length of voting time for the contests. Because of these two things, we are making a small change to the way we run our art contests.

Starting today, we will be posting new art contests on the 1st & 16th of each month. Once the contest ends, a new one will be announced and the voting will begin on the previous contest. This will give you two weeks to enter the contest, then around another two weeks to vote on it.

We have thought about this a lot and feel that it will be better for the site to establish consistent contests twice a month, instead of failing at out goal of a new contest every week. We don't know if it will be this way forever, but we would like to try it out and see how it goes.

We appreciate all of those that participate in our contests. It's very enjoyable to look at all the entries and see the amazing talent that is found on our site.

This sounds like a great idea, AW.

I'm a little worried about the latest contest ("Funny Face"), though - might we not run into invasion of privacy issues? I think I'll give this one a miss, just to be on the safe side...

I just want to take a moment and thank all those who voted for me in the last contest by giving me 2's. lol Wow, and I thought lowballing was gone, but thank-god it lives on!!! It's so much better having these pathetic imbeciles gracing votes with intentional low scores. I have also seen others works with low scores, and there is no way one can have high scores and than bottom out with 2's and 3's. Play fairly, or don't play at all. Nuff' said!

I just noticed that this is not a Art contest, but a(Great) race for first place, and I understand that we as humans are rootly evil when it comes to winning. I just thought this was diff were as the winner is the one with the best "Picture" and that would be final. I'm not sure if this is the place for my art?
