23 views ? c'mon now lets be people of action!

here i'll start:

i really dont like digital art hinsel i think its cheap and imitation at its very best. what is this supposed to even BE !? just a bunch of colors your puked onto the sceen!? did you do this blindfolded ??

COMMENT

thats why i POST i can look at these by myself all i want with no extra effort.

Dawn Schmidt 07 Feb 2005

Hold on there buckaroo! I needed some time to ruminate before making any comments!LOLOL I came back to look three times before commenting. ;)

I like the diptych the best...going from softness and darkness to light and geometry, in a story panel fashion...although the circles farthest to the right are a bit stark for me.

I am a cobalt blue freak - love it with a tish of red (hard to combo those without making the eviewer's eye jump). I like the texture on the right side, too.

My eye stops at the broken circle connecting the two panels, because the space between them should represent what is missing, not just adding space between them. Perhaps adjust the partial circle in the left panel so that the eye doesn't stop so abruptly wheree the circle parts don't "match up".

I like it as a whole - just give it the ol' Hinsel tweakage, perhaps.

There, feel better now? :)

I feel very little when I look at Digital art, "It don't do it for me man...."

The Duo is ok though if I had to pick.

David.

perhaps I need to know more before making a final call ;-)

thanks dawn! appreciate the insight! the dip really appeals to me too. i'll try to keep my level of anxiousness to a low simmer - give folks a while to ponder.hehe! 'ruminate' as you say! hehe!*wink*

thanks for commenting david! i know digital don't do it for alot of people and abstract too a difficult genre to connect with alot of times - the two combined well its a double whammy for me really. *smile* thank you for being bold and honest and commenting - i really do appreciate it!

The dyptich is very effective in this artwork and presents better than the single panels... i like the texture fading out and your colours are very cool! :)

but there is something 'uncomfortable' about the broken circle... it either needs to be wholly in the right panel or more of it in the left... it is something to do with the offset... not sure

hot artwork i like it

thanks for commenting wendy - i appreciate the insight and words!

how about this one TRIPtych any better ?

rosemary gioielli 07 Feb 2005

Very cool image Hinsel. One observation would be that the larger red circle being in line with the smaller doesn't do much for the composition. Maybe if it was moved slightly towards the corner? Other then that, I think it's very intriging and thought provoking.

TRIPTYCH IS GREAT

BALANCE AND WHOLENESS AND DYNAMIC ELEMENTS...

WONDERFUL HINSEL :)

Kari Franklin 08 Feb 2005

The colors are provocative and vibrant :-) And the overal composition is dynamic.

Only thing troubling my eye is the larger red dot in the fore ground. It wants to move it somewhere else in the compostition.

Partial to the Trip as well. I love the way the image draws my eye beyond the composition. It (at least to me) infers contiuation of flow and movement beyond the boundries of the frame.

Hinsel Scott 08 Feb 2005

thanks for the comment rosemary! the red dot eh ? hehe! i could move it. it would likely be more correct to the flow of 'the golden mean' but well...i like my red dot where it is. hehehe!!

thanks wendy - yeah i dig the triptych probably most. i like how my red dot looks like its ALmost hanging over the edge.

thanks for commenting kari! i wanted to give this one a kind of depth to it; from what you've said i seem to have been decently successful. love my red dot tho. heheh!

Kari Franklin 08 Feb 2005

lol..ok, let it be known nobody mess with Hinsel's red dot ;-)

Seriously though, depth and movement you defintely have going here...good job.

Dawn Schmidt 08 Feb 2005

Hinsel - the tripych works for me too, but make sure you tell that red dot...

"don't jump!!!!!!"

Jenny Gulseren 09 Feb 2005

I love the colours, and depth in all of them. The last one seems even more interesting as it blends with the frame. Good job.

Hinsel Scott 09 Feb 2005

that right kari! dont mess wid the dot! hehe!

hehe! that's funny! call the cops we got a jumper!! hehe!

thanks jenny ! i appreciate it!!
