Artist pick of the Week

I got a cool idea i thought i would share with my artwanted colleagues and friends. I have decided to choose one artists portfolio every Wednesday and showcase it in my profile column. I will go through and rate like at least 10 images. This way some image that possibly were overlooked will be rated and i can get to know the artists better.

This weeks pick is BLONDE BLYTH!!! She has an awesome style and i love her colors and imagination!!

Check it out here: http://www.artwanted.com/artist.cfm?ArtID=6575

Blythe has a real fantasy approach. She's got a portfolio at epilogue so she's doing okay in the exposure department. I'm not particularly interested in dolls or doll images but they are colorful and well painted.

I like that idea Justin. I think that would be very constructive and fair. Brilliant!

Cheers

Hey Justin, that's a pretty cool idea. I checked her art. Is is very colourful and adorable. She's very good for children's illustration books. I will show it to my daughter today after school. :)

Thanks Jenny, Cramer, Rusty, and Martha for stopping by and checking out Toni's work. I will actualy be having 3 or 4 artist choices per week instead of 1. I want to really dig and find artists whos work doesnt neccessarily get many views but is incredible work. Once again, i appreciate the feedback (:

Thanks Justin I think you have a great idea here too.

I have not seen her work before her so it is a first for me to view it. She definitely has found her style and what works in her art that seems to be unique so one will recognize her work, once you see it you will know who created it.

I enjoy reading the bio of the artist it does help to understand where their art comes from.

I too think that my granddaughters would love her art, it is colorful and she does beautiful work.

Great Idea..Like it. Like seeing an artist admired. I have started adding people whose work I like, who rate my work, to "Art Watch' so I can keep up with what they are posting. I wish at times that these same people have liked my work enough to have done the same thing, but alas!! I know they haven't when they have not seen the works I created for them and said something about it. Sigh!! Only problem with your idea...is that I have many artists whose work I just love....so how do I select who to focus on first so others won't feel they weren't the best? We are all reasonably ego centred and love being acknowledged... Lucky Blondie to have been the first you selected...wish it was me. See what I mean......Sigh!!! Grin!!!!

Thanks for stopping by Juan, Jude, and Maggi. Actually i want to eventually go through everyones portfolio *sigh* and really look at all their work and rate most of it. I think having this weekly is a bit limited, I will eventually try to find the time to pick an artist daily and post it.
