AW please forbid the BMPs

Because i do not wait until they load, and I am sure I am not the only doing so, I suggest you to do not accept more BMP images here. BMP no sense in Inet. Bad for the viewers and bad for your servers. Thanx.

We have a process that converts BMPs to JPGs that runs every night. This way, if an artist does upload a BMP, it will changed to a JPG within 24 hours so that it has a quick download time.

An image gets the most of the votes and comments the first day it is uploaded, so if that day the image is in BMP format lot of people will skip it...
