Using celebrity images

Hey fellow artists and so on, listen, this is probably the silliest question a person could ask, but, I'm in the process of doing a "Camp Killer" spoof comic book and I'm interested in using the images of Emenim, David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and Rob Zombie. Now, how does a person go about obtaining permission to use images as such?

Mail a request to their agent or them personally if you can locate an address. Explain to them what you are trying to do, but if it's a characture (sp) I wouldn't worry about it, just change the name or spelling.

rob might not have a problem with it, he seems cool, but with the rest of them it might just be easier to make up your own. you don't want the true spirit of the work bieng currupted (misspelled) by number crunching leeches.

If it is for satyrical or educational purposes (I believe, yours would fall under the first category), you do not have to have permission. Particularly, if you are not using any names and point out that it is for satyrical purposes. I just would steer away from anything slanderous that could damage their reputation because if they can prove you had malicious intent or that you meant to slander them you may have a lawsuit on your hands. If you are using their image AND name to PROMOTE your art specifically to receive monetary gain, I would contact their agent.
