I wanted to share my excitement!

Hi everyone! Well, I don't really have to many people to share this with so I figured I'd share on here. I was really excited to see last night on Designer's Challenge on HGTV a piece of my artwork was used in the redecorated room. It was so neat seeing my artwork on TV and being the one single piece of art that was hanging on the wall. Anyways, I just wanted to share my excitement with everyone, it was an awesome feeling. I probably sound boastful(which I guess this is) but I'm really proud and didn't know who else to tell :)

its a little blurry but very cool!!!

My claim to fame; A long time ago I sold some designs to a skate shirt company. One night I was watching COPS and there was a woman getting dragged out of her house...no front teeth and screaming her head off while in handcuffs. And guess who's shirt she was wearing?

That's actually pretty funny. I would be excited to see it on anyone, even if they are toothless, that makes it just that much more interesting :)

Yeah, the picture is pretty blurry. Sorry.

Congratulations, that's very cool Amber. You too Terrence!

did you sell the piece to the designer or the people who owned the house?

Wade Harrison 07 Jan 2005

congradulations amber. i hope you dont forget about the little people! (lol)

Actually, the lady having her master bathroom redecorated bought it off of eBay from me. It was pretty cool because on the show she tried to mention my name but they edited the words out and just had her say "my friend"

Excellent Amber..one many of achievements coming your way..just keep painting..

Amber Kennady 07 Jan 2005

Thanks! I'm blushing over here. I'm actually painting right now too, just had to take a break and let the paints dry.

Amber, This IS exciting. I'm so happy for you. I would love to see any of my art in this manner. Does anyone find themselves looking on the walls of the rooms of t.v. series or shows like Amber in hopes of seeing their work? I do. I would never have thought to watch for this if it hadn't been for a court case concerning art. Congratulations Amber. Terrence, Did you smile to yourself and say, that's my shirt!? I saw one of my paintings in a flea market once and got excited. Dunno why it excited me so much, but it did. Vivian

Way to cool. Kind of like making the paper but with a much larger audience! To bad they would let her name you tho.

Congrats Amber! Don't ever feel shy about achievements. Especially "artistic" ones on this site. As talented as you are, I am sure that it won't be the last time you will see yourself "hit the bigtime."

I have seen some of my artwork hit the screen on National TV a few times, in the form of T-shirts. The last time it was two fine looking ladies wearing two of my "Ladys NASCAR" T-shirts talking about the designs for a full 30 second commercial. Sure pumps up your ego even if it was a simple design.

Again "kudos" Amber!--Denny ;{

Very cool and wonderful.. for all of you... Well if it weren't for my art I would never have been able to invent my sewing machine attachments, I hand carved the prototypes out of acrylic block and the first time a husband called to order a set for his wifes Birthday, I cried...

It is a great feeling to know that something you create becomes a treasure to someone else...

Congrats Amber - that sounds so exciting. All you guys with the famous art - I hope to follow in your footsteps one day soon.

That is so awesome? I watch HGTV allot and it has crossed my mind a few times about how it would be so cool if I happened to see a piece of my artwork on a wall as they panned by with the camera he he.

I really only know of two repeat customers who have bought some of my best and large oil paintings of dragons. Of course I cant see a fantasy lover re-decorating their room on TV like that, Oh well.

Its really to bad they couldnt just say your name, I mean that would have been mega awesome exposure, maybe they were afraid of legalities or something? Besides that I dont see the problem of mentioning the artist name.

Anyway you have every right to sound boastful! I would be too!

Thank you so much everyone! I love hearing everyone else's stories of fame, please keep them coming.

Dawn Schmidt 07 Jan 2005

Waaaaay cool, Amber! Congrats to you.

And to the rest of you and your successes, too! Feels good, don't it? :)

Perhaps Amber is going to start her year off the way Bill Lishinski started his last year. (BTW, where's he been?)
