Need opinion please:)

Here is my life-size clay sculpture in progress. I can't make up my mind if I want this baby made into a silicone baby or resin? I need help! Silicone feels Very Realistic just like skin and is popular right now. (don't know for how long though.) They do loose some detail though from the original. The big plus is they don't break. When using Resin, they look just like the original and hold all the details but are still fragile.I have done the silicone but hanen't tried the resin. I need some expert advice since there is the large expense to consider:)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions:)

what type of clay did you use originally for this. it looks really interesting. what about latex? ive done some latex scupltures and they seem to be skin like as well. i havnt tried silicon yet. did you use glass eyes ?

Thanks for your post! I used polymer clay Pro-Sculpt. The baby has paperweight glass eyes:) I am thinking silicone as it is so much in demand right now. It is just so expensive and I was thinking of resin. The only thing is that resin can yellow with age and is fragile. I have had one of my babies cast in silicone and it is the most realistic feeling baby ever:)You can wiggle toes and fingers and such:) I guess it is a trade off because solid silicone really lasts and doesn't break like resin does. The only drawback is that you do loose detail from the original when casting silicone opposed to resin. Oh well...

I haven't done latex.
