Original Post: Is anybody out there.... a Critique please
This is my normal style of painting. It is realism...or...one might call it photo realism, but it isn’t. If you look closely, the detail is mostly implied, it is very similar to the way a jpg works. When you look closely at a jpg or digital image there isn’t any real line detail...it’s just dots. As with a digital image, in this painting the image comes together as you stand back from it. Most all of my paintings work this way. This painting is called “Marietta Street 1974” It is 24 inches x 18 inches and is oil on canvas.
