Why did you choose Black & White over Colour?

I want to ask this question to see other people perspective.

It's PERFECT!, it's raw, it's without distraction of hue. it's pure like a new born baby.

Agree with Nicolaus. I also think that black & white is more expressive in some ways; color distracts your attention from rhythm and line sometimes. Besides, black & white helps you to concentrate on light effects. To me, light is more important than color.

I was inspired by the old oil illustators, who painted in black and white for printing purposes. Thought I'd try Frankenstien in just tonal values. It was a freeing experience. just a pile of white and a pile of black, on the pallet. I like it.

I always had black pens around growing up and paper so it just kinda became my thing. It's almost like a trademark of mine now I'm so comfortable with it and have came up with my own style that fits so well. I don't even sketch my work out with pencil just usually go do a one take with black ink and then darken and add in the shading at the end.

I started off black and white photography because that automatically takes it out of realm of "normal" (we see color).

If it doesn't lean high color, my art tends toward black and white for it's impact and it's simplicity.

Quick, easy, color requires more time
