Self Portrait

Kemlyn Tan Bappe is Peranakan, an inter-marriage of the Malay and Chinese culture. Tan Bappe creates in her studio in Mount Pleasant. She is executive and artistic director of Imago Fine Arts Agency & Advocacy and owner of Galleria Imago Dei, Fairfield. The artist resides with her husband, Ed Bappe and their three children, Catherine, Dorothy and Dietrich. "My work is a dialogue between my heritage, my faith journey and my responses to living in the United States of America." Gallery representation at Octagon Center for the Arts, Ames, ArtDive, Des Moines and at Galleria Imago Dei,Fairfield.
