Painting and drawing has always been as far back as I can remember something I have loved to do, and my family have played a major part in my development

My grandmother was a florist by trade, she also embroidered some beautiful pieces of work, which have since become family heirlooms Her silks were an artist palette of paints. My father was a skilled carpenter, seeing in wood the beautiful grain and structure, creating beautiful furniture He helped me to understand and see objects as they really are which is why I can now see creativity in everything, from rusty old doors to derelict barns. Sunset on a deserted beach, or wet sands reflecting the setting sun. And rain filled puddles which reflect the scenery. With this gift my family has given me, I want to leave my mark, to create on canvas something, which I hope, will be admired long after my departure from this earth Another person who was to influence me was Raymond Klee I met him whilst I was living in Pennsylvania USA. His paintings were absolutely dynamic, I watched him working, his technique and use of bold colours were incredible, and I could not resist buying several of his works of art. Since returning to England I have been fortunate to have exhibited paintings in London, as well as local art galleries. I have also joined an art group known as AVA. Amesbury Visual Arts. With this group I am now able to exhibit on a much grander scale, I hope to list more events in the coming months so please be sure to check out my Exhibition page to find out where you can personally view my paintings Here in my gallery, there are traditional paintings in a variety of genres, sunsets, landscape, flowers, and portraits. There are also some very contemporary paintings, as well abstract art, which are both fun and funky
