Joan Gossett has painted nearly most of her life.As a young girl, she was inspired by her Mother who was an artist. After over twenty five years of working as a nurse Joan had retired to her in home studio in North Port, Florida. She continues to devote her time to her love of painting, her husband Jim and dog CoCo. "I have found painting a wonderful journey of which a great deal of personal satisfaction is enjoyed.The viewer is invited to share the journey with me. My world connects the Spirit of the Creator with the spirit of man. My moods and expressions are captured in color and compositions to honor the creator of all things. What I sense takes me from the abstract and realism to the edge of the surreal." Joan uses mixed media consisting of oils,acrylics, watercolors and clay. "It is my hope to express love, hope and joy to the viewer."
