This is a image of a young in the midst his trials. On his left hand is a unshapely ugly creature engulf his hand which is to represent sin itself. he is repulsed by the thing that hinders him so, he turns his face away from it (repentance) and with his right hand he pray over the thing he depises (rebuke) 18"24" bristol paper
