This is brilliant...

Artist Reply: this indian women came from small town named Tarecuato, Michoican mexico . The pottery is all made in the traditional way by baking clay in the ground. The artisans come to Tinguindin (small town I was visiting) during the festivals. This particular festival ( I was at ) happens every year the week of the 15th. of Agust. The festival is in honor of the Virgen de Asuncio. Thank you for commenting...The town of Tinguindin is my parents home town...:)

OMG! I lived in Portal Hidalgo #10, where the Bank is now. I remember the Indians going to set up their pottery every weekend. I made some wonderful friends with some of them. I still remember some Tarascan phrases and songs.
