"you know alot of my abstracts just really come to me...the whole process for me is a non-process; i try very hard just to let the image arrive...at some point during the process a word or phonetic sound rises to the top of my mind. usually its a nonsense word that i've never heard, but once i start researching i find it has some other meaning - usually in some other laguage, that i don't speak... isamusanti...i later find out isamu is the name of a japanese artist/architect and it means "bravery or courage". santi appears to be hindu in orign (shanti?) and basically means "blessing". a blessing of bravery. i really like that. here's hoping we can all be so bold as to carry through life with the bravery to do what we know we must rather than what is easiest. be bold. you might ruin the picture - but otherwise you won't even be in it..." digital abstract 2009 hinsel.com
