A Country Girl's Birdhouse

This is a 3D work. Acrylic on wood with a wooden house designed and painted and glued to the wooden background to give it that 3D effect. In the detail image I show both sides of the house so that the miniature paintings depicting 1800's country life on it sides can be seen. The little bird perched outside of the house is made out of foam.

Artist Reply: Thank you very much! I did this work on wood instead of canvas both for economic & creative reasons. The urge to experiment with new materials I suppose.
