Looks beautiful! What is the stonework originally for? a mill?

Artist Reply: The stonework is of a lock from the Chenango Canal. The water is flowing from the section of whats left of the canal from Hamilton, New York thru Bouckville, NY, to Solsville ,New York which feeds into The Chenango River (Oriskany Creek,Sangerfield River).
