Oil on canvas with mica, fluorite, green aventurine, carnelian, rose quartz, 32 x 36”/81 x 91 cm Rhali was my Touareg guide in the Algerian Sahara. He was a man that fit completely into his surroundings with a total sense of belonging. The colours and the gemstones of mica, fluorite, rose quartz, carnelian and aventurine resonate with the clarity and openness of the desert and of the man. Mica allows one to see behind the facade of things where fluorite enhances mental function and clarity. Green aventurine helps one find hope and boosts one's confidence promoting vitality and growth. Rose quartz , a stone of love, opens the heart chakra and carnelian, a prosperity crystal shows us that there is nothing to be but love....and all that sums up Rhali.
