Oil on canvas 24 x 30”/ 61 x 71 cm These rock formations surrounded a spot that we camped one night in the Sahara outside of Djanet, Algeria. One can feel the timelessness of the desert with its fine grained rose coloured sand which has worn the rock away to form these pillars which stood there like sentinels.
