The Last Dragon Slayer

He watched as she climbed into the air. clearing the ruined battlements of the ruins. Her massive form filling the sky. He knew she was the last of her magnificent breed! She turned and made for him. Her rage filled the roar of her battle cry. He lifted his blade and made ready to do battle. The the dragon was astonished to see this mighty dragon slayer turn his back to her and let his stinger fall to the ground beside him. She smelled a trick, some sort of trap. She swung over him, circled close. On her third pass she could have killed him with her mighty tail. He just raised an arm, as in a salute to her. She swung of towards the mountains. "He wasn't worth her time." The slayer watched as she faded into the distance. "Live the rest of your life in peace you beauty. No one will hunt you, know one will seek you out. For like you I am the last of my breed. The Last of the Dragon Slayers."
