Artist Reply: Thanks, Wendi! This painting began as an oil pastel and Prismacolor pencil on mat board, but wasn't working for me so I set it on a drying rack at the back of my studio where it remained for several years, forgotten. I rediscovered it, mounted the mat board on MDF and finished it in oils. That worked!
