Dance of Winter

©Seth F. Weaver,Sr. 03/03/09. The sweet earth gently slumbers under her mantle of white. While the trees bough and curtesy in her strong flowing winds. It is Winter, the Queen of Cold, that gently lovingly blows sweet kisses to the Moon. Never to embrace but always to stare at in affection and awe, close but never together, apart but eternally joined, the dance of Winter will always be. Inspired by recent snows on the eastern coast of the USA. A Compullage™ work.

wonderful, love the haunting paleness to this one!

Artist Reply: Very much appreciated Ruth. As much as I don't like winter there is something about it bleakness and mood that inspires me.

Very spooky, ethereal image, Dad. Nice work.

Artist Reply: Thank you dear Nessa for your comment. It is so unique how I set out to illustrate one point of view and my fellow artists see so many other ones. I was wanting the winter wind to sort of materialize as a woman blowing a kiss (the wind) the frozen landscape and trees would define her.
