I had the opportunity a few months ago to take my daughter to the New England Aquarium. Of course, I couldn't go without my camera. African penguins are one of the three penguin species there. I decided the exhibit setting they were in just wouldn't cut it in my drawing, so I put them out on a rocky South African shore. Drawn in charcoal and graphite on smooth bristol paper, 2009. Prints available.
