Jerry Yan (F-4)

This is the time i tried making portrait using charcoal. I think it's a messy work but i know i can do better, so charcoal artist out there please help me inprove my skill. I'll be glad to hear your suggestion, comments, advice, or any violent reactions, OK thanks guys!

Hi Rhodgier This is one piece of good work done skillfully. Though it did not really resemble Jerry Yan of F4, but the shadings were perfectly executed and the contrast was commendable.THat piercing stare and the real-like life hair practically the very focus of your portrait. Keep up the good work. Portrait drawing is my passion. Am absolutely one traditional artist and one ardent fan of Jerry too. Keep those great work coming!

I really like this picture, but i think the mouth needs to be darkened a bit more to balance the eyes. but i think your shading is beautful, i haven't really used charcoal i always found it difficult! keep the good work up!
