The Regatta

The day is waning quickly in this scene from an original landscape painting of mine titled "The Regatta". The setting sun illuminates the sky, washing the water in its warm, red glow. There's still a bit of a breeze though, giving these sailboats the perfect opportunity to be on the water. A quiet scene, a scene of sailing pleasure. The regatta.

I love this, Chris. Reminds me of Lake Champlain. The colors are so soothing and warm. The surface of the water is gorgeous; the hint of a breeze is demure but apparent. Very nicely done.
