Wednesday Afternoon at the Mall

This is a painting I did for an art project back in 97 when I had returned to high school as an adult. The theme I had chosen was on the breast. This particular painting was inspired by a mother who was breastfeeding her baby in a Hamilton Mall and was escorted from the mall by two security guards, all around the time a Guelph court ruled in favour of women being able to walk around topless. Seemed a bit like an oxy-moron moment to me. At the time, I was still nursing my youngest who suffered from all kinds of allergies to anything other than breast milk...

I Wonder why Loved Ones always seem to be the deepest Critics?I have a Hundred stories, but won't Bore You...I like the surrealism, and the way the Picture tells much of the Story :)

VERY OUTSTANDING PAINTING, SHERYL.

Artist Reply: Thank you! I ended up giving it to my niece as my then husband did not like it and regretted it immediately as it was one of my most creative pieces!
