During the Nobles Revolt where the Great Kingdom was torn a sunder the then King Beneg seeing all was about to be lost, struck a deal with the Drow of the Under Earth. Those evil Elves, joined the fight on the side of the Great Kingdoms older rulers. Just in time too, and they helped force the uneasy truce that still exists to this day. Mirel is a Drow Ranger employed by the King in the Northern mountains bordering Armin. She patrols by night, for a Drow's eyes were near worthless in bright day-light. The big Feelinks at her side is a magical creature, with the ability to to blend in with its surroundings. Most Drow warriors have one as an allie.
