I took a friend to her doctor's and in return, she sent roses! Her lovely gift was unnecessary, of course. I set them on a table by a window in the studio. They sat there for a day, demanding a response. Every time I looked at them they said, "Paint me, PAINT me!" So I quit working on the commission I was doing and painted the roses.
Never send an artist roses.
