Dark Skies over Clew Bay

Acrylics on paper (10x14ins). One of my favourite views, looking form the beach near my home across the water towards Achill island. The sunlight highlighting the beach grasses just bfore another sstorm rolls in from the Atlantic ocean.

Another gorgeous painting! I think we went to Achill Island, if that's the area Grace O'Malley inhabited. We saw her castle (or what was left of it). This is lovely....everything about it is perfect :)

Artist Reply: If you went by bridge, it was Achill but if you went by ferry it was Clare island (in which case, I could have waved to you from my kitchen window, which overlooks the island). Grace O'malley had castles on both - an in several other locations around Clew Bay :o))
