Burning on deer hide, I removed the hair from a tanned hide and projected my sketch on to the hide to do a light outline sketch onto the hide. Then burned the sketch in with a nibsburner. I was contracted to do the burning on this hide from Mad Cow Custom Leather.

From experience pyrographics on skin is not the easiest of mediums to work in - although equipment is more user friendly it still demands a skilled, steady hand & a keen eye or hours of work are lost. You obviously have all these talents to produce such fine work, (never worked on Deer skin, only Elk & rabbit.)Sharon Gonzalez 30 Jun 2008
