*Everything was going so great! We were on Fire Island! The parties, and all the people and the way of life as I was seeing it, was so very much fun! We had a great day and we had stayed on the beach were the tree grove shaded us from the day sunshine and the heat, it was hot! In fact it was so hot that as early night approached part of the grove caught fire! And right when we saw the fiire intensify, an ocean wave swell came up so suddenly, washed over that part of the beach, and in one awsome splash...the fire was out. The people then told the story of what is the Island tale. It is when when hell gets too overheated, and catches the islands warm palm trees and the fire fans on fire, God sends the swell of cool water to calm the fire and refresh the trees. This happens everyday at this time.
