I realized that from River's perspective those cows must be gigantic as the little calf was four times her size already. :)

I am sure you are right but I am sure they don't seem that big when river wants to take chase. Love your shots of these beauties

Artist Reply: You obviously have not met River. :) :) :) She chases "nothing". She acts like a deer fawn who would take flight! One time some "human noises" came from afar while we were in the woods with her deer friends. About 10 fawns, the doe and a couple of young bucks took flight and the next thing I knew, my dog went with them. A few minutes later, when all was quiet again, the doe appeared and I had to ask her to get my dog back to me, which she did. So, now you see why River would be fearful of those HUGE cows. :)
