This is the context for the three portraits in the proceeding artwork (Three Friends). It is the completed panel of 39 self portraits by artist working in and around the River Oaks Art Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. Each artist was given a 12 x 12 inch canvas on which to do their self portrait. I got the honor of doing the three staff members (see previous image). It will hang as a permanent part of the Bolton House exhibit. It's a collective work, but I thought it was a great idea. It also reflects the rich artistic talent in this weird little city, stuck in the center of Louisiana. Bienvenue a tous!
