Pillars of the World

It is often difficult to understand what an image means just by looking at it. For that reason I will explain. Space, is the great unknown. The earth represents a single persons world. Family, friends, co-workers, etc. Our world is held together by Faith (figure in blue). By her side is all the support we are given (figure in red). The next two figures are much alike, but very different. Passion (in yellow) is what drives us, keeps us going. The last is Love (in purple). Without it we would surely fall. Each figure I gave a pillar and together they hold up the structure of our lives. Everyday they blossom and grow (vines), but sometimes they are challenged (serpents). This was done in pencil, pen, color pencil, pastels, and photoshop. I am in the process of painting it in acrylics The zoom version is my sketch of the four ladies after I put them together in photoshop.
