This is not quite finished but I wanted to post him actually on Valentine's Day. Mainly I still have to finish his face and body, (plus his eyelashes are a bit too dark), his wings, and a few other tweaks and polishes all around. Overall I think it's been coming together nicely particularly since it hasn't taken as long as usual to get even this far. :) This painting is another in my current phase of sketching out the image in Painter instead of in pencil and then scanning (like I usually do.) It's making for much quicker works it seems, probably because I have more freedom to experiment and get less drawn in to the medium/stage of the base sketch like what happens when I get a pencil in my hand.
