I believe this is a Double Crested Cormorant. I was quite suprised to see this fellow sitting in a mountain stream, most of our cormorants hang out in the ocean, but I guess they go wherever the fishing is best. Taken at Harrison Hot Springs, B.C.

Fine shot. I like the profile on his head while also getting a good shot of his back and tail. Our cormorants down here in Florida hang out in both fresh and salt water. They're not particular.Teresa Trant 10 Feb 2008
