My latest project is part of my contribution to a wonderful charity. Its called TLC and it is all about the phycologicaly beneficial effect of cuddly teddy bears on recovery of children in hospital. Having a little friend help calm fears and promotes swifter recovery. The bears are the only totally child safe teddy bears to be manufactured and the charities aim is to provide every child going into hospital with there own teddy bear friend. The charity is supported by all Masonic Lodges in the country and has already raised hundreds of thousands of £'s. The painting I have been working on will be donated to the charity in my Province and will be raffled throughout the region over several months, hopefully raising awareness and of course funds for the charity. The teddy bears I am using as a reference belong to my wife's sister, who has a huge collection. I sat these 2 on a tartan blanket on an arm chair. The smaller of the 2 Teddy's has a wonderful smile on his face. I hope the dark tartan blanket will gives a good contrast to the lighter elements of the bears. The painting has now been presented to the chrity to be uised towards their fund raising. The title is 'TLC' painted with various soft pastels on Canson Mi-Teints, 13" x 13.5"
