Diverge

Divergence: to go or move in different directions; branch off. (Webster's New World Dictionary) After 29 years of marriage, my husband decided to go off in another direction. I was left with no choice but to do the same--but in yet another direction. Life has not been the same for me; I had difficulty shifting a life of connectedness to one of disconnection. Twelve years later I'm happy to say that the direction I have taken has been a happy, fruitful one, one that has been full of friends, travel, and wonder. One friend said when your world falls down around you, make another--She was so right. I give thanks on this Thanksgiving Day for the diverging paths taken and for the life that the Lord has built around me. I'm also thankful for new friends and creative peers I've found on AW! Here's to resurrecting new worlds hidden by the mundane. Copyright 2007 Dell Belew
