This is the third and last of the paintings I did for a friend whose beautiful dog, Taboo, had pasted away. I am honored to have be able to do this series for them. I have not done many pets yet as I too have had several losses of beloved pets over the last few years. Two from cancer, one from old age. It has taken a while for me to be able to work on pet portraits again. I will have more posted in the future, including some of my own dear pets, past and current ones. This is a digital painting, not a photo manipulated or auto converted by software into a painting. I used an electronic graphics drawing tablet, my Wacom that has a wireless stylus pen. You hook the tablet to your computer, use the pen as a marker, pencil, chalk, brush once I use art software. I prefer Corel's Painter X, as I have been using the Painter series for several years now. I upgrade as it advances. It is very user friendly, and gives me the results that I want.
