Walking on the Wild Side

Ralph Waldo Emerson said that a genius is one who dares to hold an opinion that differs from the mainstream and to generally go against public ideas. A genius is daring to be even a renegade if necessary to follow his/her dream. This butterfly, that seems to be walking uphill rather than flying, has metaphoric simplicity to what geniuses do in life. What would our world be without the Wright brothers who thought they could fly? Copyright 2007 Dell Belew

A WONDERFUL BUTTERFLY POHTO!

Artist Reply: I was blessed to be at that precise moment. Someone once suggested anyone can make a "canned shot," but that actually isn't true. You have to be sensitive to a lot of things when you look for photo opportunities. Millions of would--be photographers walk past these opps. all the time. Thank you for your comment.
