The Hostage

Upon the shores of a wine filled sea splashes the malady of many a person whose life was hostage to the enslavement of an obsession gone mad. Scattered amongst these rocks are the hopes and dreams of the unfulfilled. Stunted growth through their own misdeeds by a flood of drinking that no redemptive Ark could sail upon. They remain tied and bound to an endless thirst that no drink can quench. One drink is too many, a thousand is not enough. visionary imagist "Joey"

many people can draw really well but few have the gift to express what they feel inside and let it show up on their canvas so that others can understand and enjoy a part of this. That takes guts! Fantastic work. You are a true artist in my mind!

Artist Reply: L.A.: being an artist is a way of life I believe. It is important to remain true to your craft. That is why i enjoy the entire process. i believe that you feel the same. thanks again for stopping by and sharing with me.

Strong image. Beautiful painting. Aren't we lucky to be no longer bound to the bottle and free to express ourselves in our art. Isn't it great to have all this extra time and energy that used to be drained by drinking.

Artist Reply: John: Truer words were never spoken. I definitely agree. And time is the most precious of commodities. And better spent one day at a time. Thanks for finding me so that I have found you.

I think Eyal just said it all. I am so moved by your art because it is just so POWERFUL. The song "Fallen" by Sarah McLachlan reminds me of my mother's battle with the bottle and your art puts into perspective how she must feel! This is most wonderful...sorry to babble on!

Artist Reply: Jessica: You are not babbling. Quite the contrary your words speak directly to my heart. I will keep you and yours and especially your mother in my prayers and daily reflections.
