Duvet montage#3

I wanted to present the image of this piece from another angle to demonstrate its use as a wall hanging. I am attracted to the vibrant colors and also find the imagery compelling. I see the profile of a lavender woman's face near the center of this fabric montage. Her eye on the far right viewing the vivid colors of orange fabric appears to be very focused on these intriguing colors. The floral garden on the bottom has a delicate flower sprouting into the next panel that gives this piece an interesting dimension.

marvellous!!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you for appreciating my collaboration with my husband Charlie as we choose fabrics that work so well for his gifts that some may think is an unusual avoaction for a man interested in sewing. Art has no gender preference. The sewing arts in this day of computers and digitally manipulated imagery is a dying art form. We complement each other with our asthetic appreciation of color texture and composition with the added bonus of my choosing where to shoot to create abstracts with vibrant color that I know you also use in your work. Reinventing the images has been great fun given the basic tools I use to enhance his fabric montages. I love the small nuances that I also perceive with my mind's eye in my photography. At the bottom, I noted that a sprout from the garden had crossed the boundaries as it grew into the other panel. I love imagining various interpretations of imagery. In reality the fabric had a small image of a firefly and seeing that compelled me to want to shoot that small panel of this duvet. You work with vivid colors is amazing. I am not surprised that you choose this piece to comment on. It is deeply appreciated!!
