This painting is brought to you by my miserably hot dogs who keep begging to come in so they can fight over who gets to sit in front of the fan. It has been disgustingly hot here in the Sunny Okanogan Valley these past weeks so it was either fight for a spot in the kiddie pool in the back yard or start a new mini series -- "101 Ways to Cool a Corgi". Needless to say, painting won out. I probably won't actually paint 101 of these, but I do plan to do a few until the weather breaks! :) This is number two-- "The Watering Trough". Oblivious to the fact that sheep absolutely hate sifting dog hair out of the water through their teeth, a wee corgi enjoys a delightfully cool afternoon dip. We actually had a dog that did this. God bless you Zeb in that great watering trough in the sky! This delightfully whimsical little piece is painted on a highly-collectible 4 x 4 inch stetched canvas for the delight of the Welsh Pembroke Corgi or canine enthusiast. Original in the private collection of M. Jones.

Very cute! I could have used that water trough last Saturday when it was 104!
