Mermaid Goddess of the Light

Here is a commissionned piece I made this summer and took with me to Norway. I hope I was able to put enough *sun* into it so that during the long cold norwegian winter it may warm the livingroom of my dear Bjørg who placed it over the fireplace. Oil on canvas, 80 x 70 cm (31.5 x 27.5 inches)

Although you put a "sunny" dose of color into this piece, it still has a touch of the "Scandinavian light" about it, which is altogether of a good thing in this case...the image emerges with a totally "crisp" feeling to it!
