This photograph is beautiful as a piece of art and as a statement about t he critical need to rescue these magnicient animals from the malicious grip of human cruelty, abuse and greed. I wrote a piece on Mustangs after photographing a horse from the series of of trail of painted ponys, the proceeds going to charities to protect these wonderful and sentient animals. I think I named in Mustang sally, the horse combined the spirit of the animal and the car with pipes and Mustang parts attached to the horses body. My narrative supports your stunning photo and the relief I feel when I look at the horses waiting for adoption. Usually I read about these horses that are killed for human consumption so this photo is a great gift for us who love animals, especially these wild horses that have been so neglected and mistreated. You caught a special moment with the expression in the horse's eye. I love the title. Someone has to have "an eye on us" to control those who want to destroy rather than enjoy the natural beauty of these beautiful creatures.

Artist Reply: Thanks for your commentary. I too am dedicated to helping all horses, including mustangs. I hope that my photography will bring about more public awareness for the need to protect the wild mustangs and more people will learn to appreciate their majestic beauty.
