thesis- Aset great in heka(magic) tricked the great sun god Ra into revealing to her his secret name. Ra was old and weary and he would often drool...when this did happen Aset collected it and mixed this with sand and created a snake which bit Ra while he walked. He cried out to all the gods "I am dieing, someone cure me of this poison!" Aset came after none of the other could cure him and said "I will cure you once you give me your secret name. Ra then gave to her many other names except his secret name. Aset most cunning knew and did not cure him...after Ra grew closer to death he told Aset to come close...he then whispered to her his secret name and all his power.
